I asked if any one has ever used it, not how you get a yeast infection nor how to prevent them. I am fully aware of those issues. I am very sensitive to certain soaps and used one at a friends house without thinking. Which of course caused my ph balance to go "off whack". Well I heard from some of my friends and people online that have had yest infections in there life say that periods can cure them sometimes. I know I have one because I have everything from burning, itching, cottage cheese looking but I know my period is coming in a few days. I got a pill from the doctor and it didn’t completly make it go away. I don’t want to go back. I head Vinegar and Water mixed helps cure it fast. Is that true? If so, what are ways to use it. Bath? Douche? What?

Yes, vinegar and plain water will help. Vinegar has long been know as a treatment – not cure – for yeast infections. It has anti-fungal and disinfectant properties. Use 1 capful to about 8 ounces of warm water and douche. But don’t douche more than 2x per week or you will dry the vaginal tissue too much. Buy some acidophilus tablets or probiotics, and take one capsule by mouth morning and one night before bedtime. And there are many over-the-counter anti-yeast creams that you can use – Clotrimazole, Gyne lotrimin, Monistat. It would be better to use those than take a pill by mouth. The anti-fungal medications are quite strong and can be hard on the body. Best bet, use the creams and take the acidophilus for 7 days and then stop the cream. Then keep taking the acidophilus one at night for the next two weeks, and once you are clear you might want to take it once a week as a preventive measure.

you need to get monistat. not vagisil. monistat is used to treat yeast infections. if it doesnt go away, you need to go to the doctor. he can give you a script that would make it go away in a day or two.

I was taking antibiotics for an infection in my eyelids and ended up with a yeast infection (happens to me every time I take amoxicillin). I cannot afford to buy the cream to treat it, period.
